Cambrian Point Halls of Residence

• Cambrian Point offers clean and comfortable accommodation in a very good location for the Summer Conference in Cardiff. These privately owned student halls of residence are situated approximately 5 minutes by car from Tabernacle Cardiff where the conference is held. The residences are only 3 years old and are surrounded by well maintained grounds with parking. There is 24 hour on site security, CCTV and electronic personal key fob access. Supermarkets, take away restaurants and a leisure centre are close by.
• Cambrian Point is arranged in flats of 3,4,5 and 6 en-suite bedrooms;  the majority of rooms are single, although there is also a number of double rooms available; each flat has a living area and kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is also an on-site laundry facility.
• The cost for a single en-suite room for one week is £87.50. A double en-suite for a week is £100. These prices include bedding which is comprised of a quilt, pillow and sheet. The price quoted is a set price for 7 nights – the price for 4 nights would be the same. However, this price is still good value for 4 or 5 nights. The management of Cambrian Point are happy to allow children to sleep on their parents’ floor at no extra cost i.e. a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) can occupy 3 single bedrooms at the cost of £262.50 for 7 nights.
• Please note: the kitchens in these halls of residence are not equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Conference delegates would need to provide their own equipment. However, if this should prove to be difficult, catering packs can be requested - cost to be confirmed. Please mention this when booking.

• Available accommodation consists of single en-suite bedrooms in the main tower block of University Hall (all floors are accessible by lift) and single standard bedrooms (shared showers and toilets) in a separate block. The single standard rooms would be suitable for young people of the same sex. All rooms have recently been decorated and re-furnished to a high standard.  Many of the rooms in the tower block have a superb view over Cardiff and the Bristol Channel. Each flat has a shared, fully fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer, cooking and eating utensils and dining area. All rooms are provided with linen and towels and refreshments are made available in the kitchen area.
• It will be possible for young children, under the age of 10, to share a room with their parents and also for two young children to share a single room together, either sharing a bed or sleeping on the floor. Please bear in mind that the rooms are for single occupancy and therefore quite small so the necessary bedding would need to be brought. The cost with children sharing with their parents would be per room rather than per person.
• University Hall, which is set in its own landscaped gardens and situated in a pleasant residential area of Cardiff, is a short drive and an easy 20 minute walk from the church. There is ample free parking outside the hall of residence.  
• Please Note: The church minibus will also be available to pick up and drop off delegates at University Hall during the week of the conference, at certain times in the day.

Youth Hostel on Wedal Road,

• YHA Cardiff is ideally located for the Summer Conference as it is only a 4/5 minute walk from the church on Pen-y-Wain Road and also in close proximity to Roath Park and Lake.
  
• Facilities include 66 beds in three 4, three 6, one eight and two 14 bedded rooms. The rooms are single sex with bunk beds although the smaller rooms, some of which are en suite, can be booked as family rooms.
• The cost per person per night, including full breakfast, during the conference week in July 2010 is £21.95 (under 18’s £16.50). If booking nearer to the conference, it could be that the prices will be less, although the choice of rooms may be limited. www.yha.org.uk
